Did India really shoot down a low orbit satellite?
Indian PM claimed that they shot down Low orbit satellite Tuesday 25 March 2019 by showing some images of missile.

Indian sources claimed that they shoot down a satellite 300km away from Earth.

First of all, Low orbit start from altitude of 350-400km and end at 2000km. From its starting point, International space station is situated(who is 410Km away from Earth).
Low orbit satellites are used for data communication like sending emails etc. But low altitude military satellites are operate at height between 400-1000 miles from earth.
As of 2018, there are 320 military satellites are present in sky(many from them are also for Communication) and no one satellite is present in near 400Km of altitude.

In short words,
No country use Military satellites in Altitude of less than 600Km because they use high technologies for information gathering from Earth more than other satellites. Their speed may be reach at level of more than 25 mac.
In this time, only three countries are capable to shoot down a Military satellite (USA,China and Russia).
