Tijas is a 4th Generation Multi role fighter that produce under DARDO.
 Here is its short history about its production:

 August 1983
Govt approves LCA project with initial Rs 560crore to replace aging Mig-21s

March 2006
IAF orders 20 jets in initial operational clearance(IOC) for Rs 2813cr

Dec 2010
20 jets in final operating clearance(FOC) for Rs 5989cr

Dec 2013
Single engine Tijas gets IOC

Jan 2015
IAF gets 1st jet(in IOC configuration)

July 2016
IAF raises 1st squadron with only 2 jets.

June 2018
9 jets delivered till now ,FOC delayed yet again.

2023
Dilivery of 83 Tijas Mark-1A fighters (over Rs 50,000 crore) likely to begin.
At this time
Over 75,000 crore waste for order of 123 jets but yet no possibility is in seen that DARDO can produce so many fighters in coming years.
In all delays Tijas proved white elephant for indian defence secter,
Here is no reason of these delays,all important parts of Tijas are foreign made like,
 French Dalta design, Israeli redar, American engine, Israeli Air to air missiles,Russian bombs,German HMD etc.

Tijas have 400km radius in interception rule but in full ground attack mode it can only cover 275km radius.

Now question raise
Why DARDO equiped Tijas with Laser guided bombs for ground attack if it cover such little radius?
